One Year Adjusted Checkup

We just got back from the girls' one year adjusted checkup. The girls turned one on June 3rd but actual age is 15 months. They got another shots which I hate. It really makes me want to cry along with them because they look up at me like "Why Momma?". Breaks. My. Heart. Everytime. Presley actually handled these set of shots better than Kourtney did. It's usually the other way around. Presley weighs 15 lbs 1 oz. and is 25.5 inches tall and Kourtney is 16 lbs 13 oz. and 28 inches. Of course the Dr. wasnt too thrilled about their weight (big surprise) but since we are going to a GI specialist and being followed by a dietitician who both prefer to go by BMI he just shrugged. Their BMIs are 10th percentile for K and 11th for P by the way. One thing we are going to switch is instead of formula we are going to start with Pediasure. We are currently mixing the formula to 26 calories per ounce (normal mix is 20 cal/oz). Pediasure has 30 cal/ounce so hoping that they love it and gain more weight! I can't believe no more formula! A sign that they aren't little babies anymore but getting to be toddlers. I don't think I'm ready for this! Here are my littles:

When Mickey Mouse is on nothing else matters

I love that the girls love Disney as much as I do. As soon as the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme song starts, they stop in their tracks and watch! I love how they get up from sitting and dance to the songs! I cannot wait to take them to Disney World or maybe even Disneyland since we are here. We are gonna have. So. Much. Fun!!!!

Kisses for Daddy

I love the time of day when Travis gets home and the girls drop whatever they are playing with just as soon as they hear the keys in the door. They run up to him and give him the biggest smiles and it is just so sweet to watch. They also love to give Daddy lots of kisses after not seeing him all day. But they don't kiss Daddy on the lips or the cheek--they love to kiss him on his nose! It's the sweetest thing in the world. They really love their Daddy.

Last Day of Fun With Nana and Great Grandmama

Nana and Great Grandmama left back to Texas today and we were all very sad to see them go as we had so much fun with them visiting us here. We get pretty lonely in California sometimes since going back to Texas for visits aren't really an option right now . The girls' lungs are just not strong enough to handle the high altitude of a plane ride and while we could get an altitude test to tell us how they would handle a plane ride, and possible carry oxygen tanks on board just in case they needed it, I don't feel comfortable with doing that. I would much rather wait until they are much older and I am confident that no type of emergency will happen. So until then, we reply on family to visit us. We went to the park and let the girls run around and get all tired out before naptime and then we said our goodbyes and Travis took them to the airport. On the bright side, we are now on a countdown until Mimi comes to visit in 18 days! See ya soon Mimi!

Doing the stink face! Hehe! :)

Point Montara Lighthouse

We took Great Grandmama and Nana over to the Point Montara Lighthouse yesterday and we all had a fun day at the beach. It was too cold to get the girls out of the stroller (was about 50 degrees) and we were all bundled up but managed to have a great time. We walked on the beach, ate at Princeton Seafood Company (yum!) and then walked up and down Main Street and shopped. Kourtney had her first french fry today since she was getting impatient with us while we ate lunch. She devoured it! It was a great day!

Meeting Great Grandmama

The girls met their Great Grandmama today, Audrey, and this is the great grandmother from their Daddy's side of the family. The girls immediately came up to her and wanted hugs and to be held. Usually they are scared of other people but I think her calm disposition made them feel at ease right away. We went for a picnic in the park and of course played on the slides and the swings. Presley actually took a hold of Great Grandmama's hand and was leading her around like as if to say, "Come on Great Grandmama, I know my way around here, let me show you around". It was so cute! After the picnic, it was time for a nap and we all stayed home the rest of the day and played and talked. We did go out in front of the house for some pictures of the three generations. We have big plans for the beach tomorrow in Half Moon Bay so I am hoping we will get some more great pictures and memories tomorrow. But for now, here are some pictures from our day:
