Day 8

Today we made handprint ornaments. All I did was get some glue and glitter and paint the glue on their hand, and press it to a white ornament and then sprinkle with glitter. I love how they turned out and I will keep them forever :)

Day 7

Today we spent all day watching Christmas movies and wrapping presents. It is really hard to wrap presents when you have two kitty cats trying to attack the paper, stealing your ribbon, and ripping the bows off of the presents. The girls also enjoyed the wrapping paper so much the other day that they started fussing and crying because I wouldn't give them any today. So I finally gave in. :)

Day 5 and 6 of the 25 Days of Christmas

So I fell asleep last night before I got a chance to post because Presley was giving me problems all day long (not eating) so I was exhausted by the end of the day. But here is day 5 and 6:

Day 5

Presley, Kourtney, and I wrapped a few gifts while listening to some Christmas songs and the girls loved the wrapping paper! It kept them entertained while I wrapped their gifts. Here is a little video:

When daddy got home, they played and the girls even played a video game with Daddy. Kourtney fell asleep on Daddy while he was playing.

Day 6

We kept it simple today because Daddy has 24 hour duty and just watched a Christmas movie, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, while we played.

The girls have also started taking baths in their new bath seat since they can sit up now! They love it and love to play with running water. :)

Daddy FunDay

Today, the girls spent all day with their Daddy while Mommy went shopping and to run errands. The girls had a good time and spent the whole day playing with Daddy and watched the Santa Clause for their 4th day of the 25 Days of Christmas! Kourtney played while watching it and Presley fell asleep!

Santa Sends Presley and Kourtney an Email!

Today the girls got their Synagis antibodies that help protect them from RSV. While it doesn't prevent them from getting RSV, it is suppose to reduce the severity of the virus. Only certain babies qualify for it and they are really strict about that because it is so hard to make and is very expensive ($2,500 a shot). It is administered for 5 months during RSV season and they will continue to get it until April. The girls did great with it and Kourtney didn't even cry and Presley only a little. We really hope that they don't get RSV anymore or that it isn't so severe if they do. It was also a risk to even go get the vaccine since we are taking them into a doctors office where sick kids are but the nurses always try to disinfect the whole room before we get there and we always wait in the hallway so we aren't exposing them to the sick kids. Presley now weighs 12 lbs 3 oz and Kourtney is weighing in at 13 lbs 2 oz now!

I was really bummed that the girls wouldn't get to go see Santa Claus this year since their will be too many kids and right during RSV season. I have been trying to convince Travis to dress up as Santa but he wouldn't do it and the costumes are too pricey to rent/buy. So, I ran across this website that you type in the child's name, their age, if they have been naughty or nice, their favorite color, the state your in, and what they want for Christmas. It then emails you a 3 and a half minute message from Santa and he even says the child's name and uses their picture! It is so cute! Be sure to watch both of them as they are different messages from Santa! The first two videos are of the girls' reactions and the last two are of the video itself since it expires in 30 days and I want to keep it forever!

So for the 3rd day of the 25 days of Christmas the girls got an email from Santa Claus.......

Naughty or Nice?

For our 2nd day of our 25 days of Christmas, we decided to take a picture in front of the tree. I bought the girls these cute little iron on graphics and ironed them on to a onesie. One says "nice" and the other says "naughty". Travis and I had no trouble choosing which one was going to wear the "naughty" one. Haha! Presley has just so much personality and demands so much attention from us--cries the most, hits Kourtney, takes toys away from Kourtney, makes Kourtney cry all the time. Poor Kourtney! Anyway, so we got in front of the tree to take a picture and Presley turns around and starts grabbing the ornaments off of the tree and pulling at the branches. This confirmed that she has been naughty this year. Hehe. Just kidding Presley! Mommy still loves you!

25 Days Til Christmas!

I thought we would start a family tradition, starting this year to make it a point to do something Christmas related starting December 1st up until Christmas. I know I can't do much this year because the girls are so little still but that doesn't mean we cant do little stuff like watch Christmas classics or sing songs. I will try to post pictures of what we do everyday so that everyone that lives out of town can see what we did today.

Kourtney has been trying to crawl lately and she can get her knees up but she still doesn't know how to coordinate her arms and legs to do that at the same time. It is so cute! I will try to take a video of it if I catch her doing it. In addition to the big Christmas tree in the living room, we set up a tree I got them when we found out I was pregnant last Christmas and I bought a small pink 2 foot tree and also a green one on sale at Target at the after Christmas sale and I told Travis that if we had a girl or a boy that I would be covered since I was only around 18 weeks last Christmas and didn't know I had two beautiful little girls in there! I got rid of the green one since we didn't have a boy and now we have this pink one in the girls' room decorated with cupcakes, gingerbread men, pink nutcrackers, gingerbread houses and candy...all in pink of course!

So...here it goes.....the 25 day countdown until Christmas!
