Room Air!
I am happy to report that both girls are now on room air (21% oxygen)! They still have the nasal cannulas in as they still need a little bit of pressure to keep their lungs open but we are so happy that they are on room air! The daily diuretics played a large part in getting them to this point and we are glad the Dr. suggested it. Their feeds are a different story. They were on demand feedings but then the Dr. rotation switched and this Dr. didn't think they were eating enough so she put them back on the every 3 hour schedule which I think sucks since they aren't waking up to eat because they aren't hungry! This week it has been very fustrating because of this for Travis and I. On Monday, there will be a new Dr. on so we will see what her story and plan is to get them home. They are now 39 weeks and their due date is 6 days away, June 3rd. Presley is weighing in at 6 lbs. 14 oz. and Kourtney is 7 lbs. 1 oz. They have the bluest eyes and Kourtney is my smiley baby and smiles really big all the time.

Happy Mother's Day!
Today was my first Mother's Day and while I wished it was different and that we all could have been home as a family, I am grateful that they are here and healthy. Things could have been very different.... Travis and I spent our day at the hospital with our girls and the nurses gave us 2 roses and some pictures with their footprints on them. They are so cute! I also got to hold both girls at the same time and it was great! Presley was looking at Kourtney and smiling and Kourtney was fast asleep because she had just eaten. Daddy was also tickling Presley's belly and she would smile. Here are some pictures from my first Mother's Day:

Low Flow Oxygen!
Presley has been moved down on her oxygen to the low flow cannula. This is great because it means she is one step closer to getting to come home. This is what she will probably be coming home on and the Dr. said she is just waiting for her to be able to take all of her feeds by bottle and then we can talk about getting her home! They also turned Kourtney's oxygen back down to 3 liters and she is doing fine but Presley is definitely ahead of her in terms of oxygen needs. She is on 3 right now and needs to be at 1 to go to the low flow like Presley. The eye Dr. also came back and said everything was exactly the same...Presley still has stage 2 zone 2 ROP and Kourtney has none. As long as it isn't getting worse I am happy. Here is a sweet picture I got of the girls together with the help of their favorite nurse Kathy.

Bathtime!
We finally got to bathe Presley and Kourtney for the first time. Presley didn't really enjoy it as much as Kourtney but she wasn't that upset either. We learned how to bathe Presley the sponge bath way and Kourtney in the full tub. They were both happy as can be after though and they smelled so good! Kourtney has not had anymore episodes of apnea or bradys since being moved back to 4 liters of oxygen. I guess she just wasn't ready. Presley is now on 2 liters of oxygen and doing great! I asked the Dr. why such a difference and he explained that the second twin always has more breathing issues than twin A. He didn't explain why. Here are some pictures and videos:
